Imprisonment is a custodial sentence incurred for an offence. Prison sentences range from two months to ten years. They can be suspended. The suspended sentence can be simple or probationary.
- Simple suspension implies the total or partial suspension of the execution of the sentence. It may be revoked in the event of a new unsuspended criminal or correctional sentence.
- A suspended sentence with probation shall subject the sentenced person, under the supervision of the enforcement judge, to supervision, assistance and special obligations.
