National Enterprise and Establishment Register Database

The management of the SIRENE register (Computer system for the business and establishment register) has been entrusted to Insee. The register records the civil status of all companies and their establishments (including companies, associations and public bodies), regardless of their legal form or sector of activity, located in metropolitan France (including Corsica), as well as in Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, Réunion, Mayotte, Saint-Barthélémy, Saint-Martin and Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon. Public or private organisations and foreign companies that have a representation or an activity in France are also listed. The scope of the register is set out in Article R123-220 of the French Commercial Code.
