Demographic and Social Statistics Directorate (DSDS)

The Demographic and Social Statistics Directorate manages the National Directory for the Identification of Natural Persons and the national voter-registration database. It is responsible for designing and producing statistics and studies on the population, households and social development, most notably in the areas of demography, employment, income, wealth, consumer prices, housing and living conditions. Finally, it establishes the legal populations and produces the statistical census results at national and local levels.
