Single identifier for parties to financial transactions (pre-LEI)
The EMIR European regulation imposes, for certain derivative products, the use of a unique identifier for parties to financial transactions, named a Legal Entity Identifier (LEI).
During the period of set-up of the system, the local pre-operators (the INSEE for France) are assigning a temporary identifier: the pre-LEI.
The prices of identifier assignment and certification services are calculated based on the 'Order of the Minister for the Economy and Finance of 28 June 2013.
On the LEI-France website, you can file an application for a company or UCITS, or consult and download the pre-LEI file.
