Data collection
Until 2007, the survey was carried out each month except in August. Since 2008 it
has been carried out every month.
Data collection is by post and online over a period stretching from the end of the
month prior to the month of the survey to the date of publication of the survey, i.e.
4 working days before the end of the current month.
The results of the survey are sent to the European Commission 5 working days before
the end of the month.
