This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2010:

  • 01/01/2016 – Saint-Sylvain-d'Anjou devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Verrières-en-Anjou (49323) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Verrières-en-Anjou en lieu et place des communes de Pellouailles-les-Vignes (49238) et de Saint-Sylvain-d'Anjou (49323) devenues déléguées.
