ICT more and more widespread in companies

In France, as in most European countries, nearly all companies with ten or more employees now have computers linked to the Internet. Small companies have thus caught up. However, there are still wide differences between companies in terms of architecture and use of information and communication technologies (ICT). For the most part, the largest companies, or those belonging to a group, use advanced procedures such as specialised networks or integrated management systems (IMS). E-commerce is also expanding, chiefly taking the form of business-to-business (B2B) commerce via electronic data interchange (EDI).
