Quality Management Initiatives as part of a Process-Oriented Approach

INSEE has adopted a process-oriented approach.

The initiatives implemented are based on well-established formal phases:

  • identification of actors and their roles;
  • description of statistical processes based on a model used by international statistical organisations (the Generic Statistical Business Process Model);
  • risk analysis;
  • quality assessment in accordance with the principles of the European Statistics Code of Practice.

The tools developed for these procedures apply to all types of processes (surveys, use of an administrative source, multi-source system, etc.).
