Outcome of the French Presidency of the Council in the field of statistics
The National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies chaired the Council Statistics Working Group
during the second half of 2008 (to find out more).
The Presidency would like to thank all those partners who contributed constructively and actively
to achieving legislative dossiers on statistical issues. We enjoyed the exchanges of ideas and the
contributions that have enabled us to move closer to strengthening European statistics. The Presidency
team took a great interest in the discussions with all of you. We would like to wish our Czech colleagues
the very best of success over the coming months
