In 2011, the net agricultural income per work unit increased in France following a recovery after two very difficult years. The value of production (excluding subsidies on products) by the agricultural branch was up by 6.7% on 2010: + 5.0% for crop production, + 10.6% for animal production. In crop production, prices increased moderately, but volumes grew sharply for wines, cereals, beet and potatoes; for animal productions the reverse was true: volumes progressed moderately except for milk, but prices rose sharply across all products.
