In November 2012, the turnover in manufacturing industry fell by 1.9% compared to October

Turnover in industry and construction – November 2012

Every index in this issue is in value, seasonally and working-day adjusted.

In November 2012, the turnover decreased significantly in the manufacturing industry (–1.9%), after a rise in October. Exports dropped (–4.5%).

In November 2012, the turnover fell considerably in the manufacture of food products and beverages (–3.1%). It shrank in other manufacturing (–1.1%), mainly due to a drop in the manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment (–3.2%). The turnover in manufacture of transport equipment went down (–2.2%), for the third consecutive month. It fell sharply in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (–3.7%) and it dipped substantially in the electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (–1.8%).

In November 2012, the turnover of industry as a whole went down by 1.6%. Over the same period, it also decreased in construction (–1.7%).

Year-on-year, the turnover declined in the manufacturing industry (–1.0%).
