In June 2012, the turnover in manufacturing industry decreased by 1.1% compared to May

Turnover in industry and construction – June 2012

Every index in this issue is in value, seasonally and working-day adjusted.

In June 2012, the turnover was down in the manufacturing industry (–1.1%) with regard to May. Exports decreased (–2.6%).

In June 2012, the turnover declined in the manufacture of transport equipment (–3.1%), particularly in the manufacture of other transport equipment (–7.0%). It also decreased in the manufacture of food products and beverages (–1.5%), in the electrical and electronic equipment ; machine equipment (–0.8%), notably in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (–8.2%), and in the other manufacturies (–0.5%). It was slighly down in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (–0.2%).

In June 2012, the turnover of industry as a whole went down by 1.3%. Over the same period, it was steady in construction (0.0%).

In the last quarter (Q/Q–1), the turnover in the manufacturing industry decreased (–0.7%). It declined in the manufacture of transport equipment (–2.7%), in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (–4.9%) and in the electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (–1.8%). Conversarly, it rose in the manufacture of food products and beverage (+1.5%) and in the other manufacturing (+0.2%).

Year-on-year (Q/Q–4), the turnover went up (+0.7%) in the manufacturing industry.
