In February 2012, the turnover in manufacturing industry increased by 0.8%

Turnover in industry and construction – February 2012

Every index in this issue is in value, seasonally and working-day adjusted.

In February 2012, the turnover grew in the manufacturing industry (+0.8%). It also rose in January (+1.5%). Exports went up by +0.6%, after +3,0% in January.

In February 2012, the turnover expanded in the manufacture of transport equipment (+2.5%), particularly in the manufacture of other transport equipment (+5.5%).

The turnover also increased in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+2.4%), in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+4.3%) and in the electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (+0.6%) in February 2012.

Over the same period, the turnover declined in the other manufacturing (–1.1%).

In February 2012, the turnover of the industry as a whole (B to E) grew by +1.1%.

In the last quarter (Q/Q–1), the turnover in the manufacturing industry rose by +0.5%. It especially rose in the other manufacturing (+0.6%) and in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+3.7%).

Year-on-year (Q/Q–4), the turnover grew by 3.1% in the manufacturing industry.
