In December 2009, the consumer price index (CPI) increased by 0.3%, after rising by 0.1% in November.
Adjusted from seasonal variations, the monthly change went up by 0.2%.
Year-on-year, prices grew by 0.9% (with and without seasonal ajustement).
The price index without tobacco increased by 0.2% (+0.8% year-on-year).
This rise of the CPI in December results mainly from the seasonal growth of the prices of the services and, in a more modest way, from the increase in manufactures’ prices, while prices of energy were again on the decrease/started anew to decrease. The raising of the price of tobacco continued in December (+1.5%; +6.0% year-on-year).
