Household consumption expenditure in manufactured goods – may 2009

Comment

In May, households expenditure in manufactured goods decreased by 0.2% after + 0.5% in April, measured in chained volumes (trading days and seasonally adjusted figures).

In April, expenditure in durables slowed down (+0.7% after +1.9% in April), because expenditure in equipment goods went down (-0.8% after +0.5%).

In May, consumption expenditure in textile-leather kept declining (-1.4% after -0.2%).

Finally, household consumption in other manufactured goods slightly decreased (-0.3% after -0.1%).
