Payroll employment in decrease in Q4 2011 (flash estimate)

Flash estimate - Job creation in competitive sectors - 4th Quarter 2011

In Q4 2011, payroll employment in principally market sectors is expected to decline by 0.2% q-o-q (- 31,900 jobs), after a stagnation in the previous quarter. Excluding temporary work, employment is expected to stabilise in Q4 2011 (-6,200 jobs).

Fall of temporary employment

Temporary employment is in decline this quarter : -4.4%, after -2.7 % in Q3 2011. The number of people in employment in this sector is down 25,800 compared to the previous quarter.
