Total demand was less deteriorated in manufacturing industry

According to the business leaders questioned to the quarterly survey of July 2009, global and export demands fell again in manufacturing industry in Q2 2009. However the decline is less pronounced than during the two previous quarters.

Looking at business leader’s expectations, demand would continue to deteriorate in Q3 2009, but again in a less pronounced way.

Production capacity was anew less intensely used in Q2 2009: the proportion of businesses encountering production bottlenecks fell by 4 points.

According to the business leaders, the fall of industrial manpower increased in Q2 2009 anew. Looking at business leader’s expectations, the decline in employment is expected to be less marked over the next three months.
