According to the business leaders questioned in April 2013, the industrial economic situation deteriorates. The synthetic indicator decreases by three points: it is very below its long-term average.
The turning point indicator remains in the unfavorable area.
According to the business leaders, their past activity deteriorated strongly; the balance of opinion weakens markedly and is very low.
On the other hand, the balance of opinion about the production outlook of business leaders goes down slightly and is markedly below its long-term average.
Total and export order books decreased and are considered as very low. The corresponding balances of opinion are very below their long-terme average.
The general production outlook, which represents business leaders’ opinion on French industry as a whole, deteriorated; this balance of opinion reached a very low level.
Stocks of finished products increased but are still rated as below their normal level.
