According to the business leaders questioned in January 2013, the industrial economic situation deteriorates anew. The synthetic indicator decreased by three points and was very below its long-term average.
The turning point indicator remains in the neutral area.
Business leaders consider that their past activity was very deteriorated: the balance of opinion decreased markedly and was very low.
Business leaders consider also that their production outlook deteriorates.
While export order books decreased slightly, total order books are rated as nearly steady: they remain considered as very low.
The general production outlook, which represents business leaders’ opinion on French industry as a whole, are nearly steady; this balance of opinion remains very low.
Stocks of finished products decrease markedly and their level is rated as very below their long-term average.
