In Juny 2012, the business climate deteriorates slightly in manufacturing industry

According to the business leaders questioned in Juny 2012, the industrial economic situation deteriorated slightly: the synthetic indicator decreases by one point. It remains markedly below its long-term average.
The turning point indicator remains in the unfavorable area.
Business leaders consider that the rhythm of activity has continued to decrease in manufacturing industry. Stocks of finished products decrease and are slightly below their long-term average. Total and export order books are nearly steady and are rated as very low: the balance of opinion remains very below their historical average.
Looking at the personal production outlook, which is steady, activity in manufacturing industry would be unfavorable in the next months. The general production outlook, which represents business leaders’ opinion on French industry as a whole, weakens slightly and remains very below its long-term average.
