In the first quarter of 2013, the gross salary – index scale indicator rose by 0.02 %

Gross salary - index scale indicator in the civil service of the State – Index scale – 1rst quarter 2013

Warning : the gross salary – index scale indicator (GS-ISI) will shortly be published in Stats Rapides of the Directorate-General for Government Administration and the Civil Service (Direction générale de l’administration et de la Fonction publique : DGAFP) instead of Informations Rapides of the Insee.

In the first quarter of 2013, the gross salary – index scale indicator (GS-ISI) rose by 0.02 % while the point value remained stable.

For A grade personnel, the GS-ISI remained steady.

For B grade personnel, the GS-ISI increased by 0.02 % as a result of including in the NES (“Nouvel Espace Statutaire” : new grade scale) certain B grades of the Ministry of Social Affairs and of the Ministry of Ecology. This system allows different B-grade personnel hitherto classified according to separate pay scales to be grouped together in a single system. Set up on the 1st of September 2010, this new scale continues to operate in 2013.

For C grade personnel, the GS-ISI increased by 0.10 % as a result of the revision of the guaranteed minimum salary occurred on the 1st of January 2013, following the revision of the guaranteed minimum growth wage (SMIC) which rose by 0.3 %.

On average in 2012, the GS-ISI rose by 0.41 %, while the point value remained stable and the consumer price index rose by 1.96 %. In 2011, the GS-ISI had increased by 0.68 %.
