In the fourth quarter of 2012, the gross salary – index scale indicator rose by 0.04 %

Gross salary - index scale indicator in the civil service of the State – Index scale – 4rth quarter 2012

In the fourth quarter of 2012, the gross salary – index scale indicator (GS-ISI) rose by 0.04 % while the point value remained stable.

For A grade personnel, the GS-ISI increased by 0.01 % under the effect of remuneration improvement in early career for some teaching and education personnel of agricultural education.

For B grade personnel, the GS-ISI increased by 0.20 % as a result of joining the NES (“Nouvel Espace Statutaire” : new grade scale), now applying to certain grades of technician of the Ministries of Agriculture, Higher Education and Research. Some controllers, technicians and administrative secretaries grades of the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy are also concerned. This new system allows different B-grade personnel hitherto classified according to separate pay scales to be grouped together in a single system. Set up on the 1st of September 2010, this new scale continued to operate in 2012. In addition, the technical advisor and assistant grades from the public-sector social service department obtained an increase in index compensation following their inclusion in the new inter-ministerial grades.

For C grade personnel, the GS-ISI remained steady.

On average in 2012, the GS-ISI rose by 0.41 %, while the point value remained stable and the consumer price index rose by 1.96 %. In 2011, the GS-ISI had increased by 0.68 %.
