the French business climate remains depressed in january 2012

French business climate and turning point indicators –January 2012

According to the business leaders of the main economic sectors, the French business climate is slightly deteriorating in january 2012. The indicator contracted by 1 point in one month, like between november and december. It reaches now 91 and is still significantly under its long term average (100). Business climate indicators gain one point in services and in the building sector but fell by three points in industry, by two points in wholesale trade (in two months) and by four points in retail trade.

At the same time, the turning point indicator is still to -1 which indicates an unfavourable tendancy relatively to the long term tendancy.
