According to the business leaders of the main economic sectors, the French business climate stops improving in May 2011. The indicator decreases by one point (108), but it still remains notably above its long term average (100). The economic upturn of these past months slows down in almost all economic sectors. Business climate is particularly declining this month in industry, services and wholesale trade sectors. In retail trade and building sectors, business leader’s answers suggest a climate stabilization.
At the same time, the turning point indicator clearly remains in the favourable zone for one year and a half. This shows continuous signs of a coming recovery.
