French business climate and turning point indicators –July 2010

Warning : the parameters of the French business climate have been reestimated as every year.

According to the business leaders of the main economic sectors, the French business climate gains only one point in July 2010. The indicator attains 98, recovering its may’s level. This stability hides differences among economic sectors : business leaders’ answers suggest an improvement in industry, building industry and wholesale trade. They are less optimistic in services and retail trade.

At the same time, the turning point indicator remains in the favourable zone for now more than one year. This shows continuous signs of a coming recovery.
