According to the business leaders of the main economic sectors, the French business climate remains stable in December 2009. The indicator remains around 87 as in November. That is 19 points above the minimum record reached in March 2009. It is still way under its long-term average. Indeed, in all economic sectors, business leaders’ answers do suggest a stabilization in the French economic climate.
At the same time, the turning point indicator remains in the favourable zone for six months in a row, after a year and a half in the unfavourable zone. This shows continuous signs of a coming recovery, mainly driven this month in building and services.
