In hypermarkets, frequently purchased good prices went down by 0.1% in April 2013 although they were steady in March 2013.
Over a year, frequently purchased good prices rose by 0.6% in hypermarkets (like in March). They increased by 2.4%, year on year, in April 2012.
In supermarkets, frequently purchased good prices went up by 0.1% in April 2013 like in March 2013.
Year on year, frequently purchased good prices rose by 0.7% in supermarkets in April 2013 (+0.8% in March 2013). In April 2012, they increased by 3.3%, year on year.

In the other retail stores, prices of frequently purchased goods went up by 0.3% in April, like in March 2013. Over a year, they rose by 2.9% in April 2013 after +2.7% in March. In April 2012, prices of frequently purchased goods rose by 5.0% in the other retail stores.
In April 2013, excluding fresh products, food and beverage prices were steady in the hyper and supermarkets. They were up 0.1% in March 2013. Year on year, they rose by 0.7% in April 2013 (after +0.8% in March 2013). In April 2012, they grew by 3.0%, year on year.
In April 2013, the meat prices stayed steady in the hyper and supermarkets (down from +0.3 % in March 2013). Year on year, they increased by 3.0%. In April 2012, the meat prices went up by 3.1% in the hyper and supermarkets.
In the hyper and supermarkets, the beverage prices remained stable in April 2013 (after a hike by 0.1% in March 2013). Year on year, beverage prices rose by 1.2% in April (after +1.3% in March 2013 and +1.6% in February), the effects of the excise duty increases on alcohol from January 2013 were fading. In April 2012, the beverage prices grew by 4.4% in the hyper and supermarkets.
In April 2013, prices of the other food products (excluding fresh foodstuffs) were stable after a decline in March (—0.1%) and in February (—0.3%). Year on year they dipped by 0.7% in April (after —0.6% in March). In April 2012, they rose by 2.4% a year ago.
In April 2013, prices of the cleaning and personal care products increased by 0.1% after a decline by 0.2% in March. Year on year, they were stable in April 2013 (after —0.2% in March 2013). They grew by 2.0% in the year to April 2012.
