In March 2014, manufacturing output dropped by 0.7%, after an upward trend begun in October 2013. Output decreased as well in industrial production as a whole (–0.7%, after +0.1% in February 2014).
In March 2014, manufacturing output dropped by 0.7%, after an upward trend begun in October 2013. Output decreased as well in industrial production as a whole (–0.7%, after +0.1% in February 2014).
During the last quarter, manufacturing output improved (+0.7%)…
During the last quarter (q-o-q), output improved in the manufacturing sector (+0.7%), but declined in industry as a whole (–0.3%).
Output rose in other manufacturing (+0.8%), in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+1.2%) as well as in the manufacture of transport equipment (+0.7%). It soared in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+10.8%). On the other hand, output declined in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (–1.2%).
… and was higher than its last year’s level by 1.8%.
Manufacturing output went up by 1.8% (y-o-y).
Output jumped in the manufacture of transport equipment (+7.8%). It increased in a less sustained pace in other manufacturing (+1.3%), in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+0.8%) and in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (+0.5%). On the opposite, output plummeted in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (–5.2%).

In March 2014, output went down in other manufacturing (–0.9%)…
The downturn concerned all products in other manufacturing. In particular, output shrank in other manufacturing; repair and installation of machinery and equipment (–1.3%), in the manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment products (–0.9%), in the manufacture of rubber and plastics products, and other non-metallic mineral products (–1.3%) as well as in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (–0.6%). It decreased also by 1.9% in the manufacture of textiles, wearing apparel, leather and related products.

Output weakened by 1.1% in the manufacture of food products and beverages.
… and in the manufacture of transport equipment (–0.4%).
Output dipped substantially in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (–2.3%), but grew by 1.3% in the manufacture of other transport equipment .
Output was almost stable in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (+0.1%).
Output grew in the manufacture of electrical equipment (+0.5%) and in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (+0.3%) whereas it slipped in the manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. (–0.2%).
Production decreased in « Mining and quarrying; energy; water supply; waste management » (–1.0 %)
Production decreased slightly in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (–0.6%), due to the clement climate in March and more strongly in mining and quarrying (–7.0 %).
