In November, the manufacturing production increased by 2.2 %
In November 2010, the manufacturing production increased in volume by 2.2%. It had decreased in October (–0.9%). In the industry, the production increased too (+2.3%).
During the quarter (quarter-on-quarter change), the production increased in the manufacturing sector and also in the industry as a whole (+0.6%).
In the last three months, the manufacturing production increased (+0.6%)…
During the quarter, the production increased in the manufacture of transport equipment (+3.7%, q-o-q), in the electrical, electronic equipment and machine equipment (+1.7%) and in the “other manufacturing” (+0.3%). In the meantime, it remains stable in the manufacture of food products and beverages (-0.1%) and strongly decreased in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (-17.7%).
…and exceeded it’s last year’s level by 4.9%
The manufacturing production rose by 4.9% (y-o-y).
It soared in the “other manufacturing” (+6.1%), in the electrical and electronic equipment and machine equipment (+6.7%) and in the manufacture of transport equipment (+4.1%).
Please note: all the data are adjusted for seasonal variations (SA) and the number of working days (WDA).

The production increased in the « other manufacturing » (+1.8%)
The production increased in the manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products (+2.9%), in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (4.2%), and in the other manufacturing (+2.8%). On the contrary, it decreased in the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (-0.6%).
In November, the production recovered in the cock and refined petroleum products (+108,3 %)
In November, the production recovered in the cock and refined petroleum products (+108.3%) after the stop in October. The production of September is almost caught up.
The production also increase in the manufacture of transport equipment (+2.1%)…
The production rose in the manufacture of other transport equipment (+6.1%) but decreased in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (-3.0%).
… and more weakly in the manufacture of electrical or electronic equipment and the machine equipment (+0.2%)
The production increased in the manufacture of electrical equipment (+1.8%). It decreased in the manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. (-0.4%) and in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (-0.6%).
Revisions : -0.1 point in October
In October, the manufacturing production had decreased (-0.9%)
The SA-WDA evolution between September and October of the manufacturing production published the previous campaign was -0.8% and has been revised at -0.9%.
