Mortality rate (crude, premature)

Definition

The crude mortality rate is the ratio of the number of deaths in the year to the average total population of the year in question.
The premature mortality rate is ratio of the number of deaths, during the year, of personns less than 65 years old, to the total population least than 65 years, the same year.
