Definition

The tertiary sector encompasses a vast field of activities ranging from commerce to administration, via transport, financial and real estate activities, services to business, personal services, education, health and social services.
The perimeter of the tertiary sector is therefore defined by complementarity with agricultural and industrial activities (the primary and secondary sectors).
