Procedure for immediate appearance before the court for minors

Definition

The procedure for the immediate appearance of minors before the court is applicable to minors aged between 16 and 18 liable to a prison sentence equal to or greater than 1 year in the case of a flagrant offence or equal to or greater than 3 years in other cases. It may be engaged only if investigations are not necessary and if the character investigations have already been completed. The minor is advised of a hearing date which must be set between 10 days and one month.
