Educational measure (criminal)

Definition

Juvenile courts can pronounce towards the juvenile delinquent an educational measure. The educational measures planned by the prescription of February 2nd, 1945 relative to the delinquent childhood are:
- entrustment to relatives, a guardian or a person worthy of trust ;
- placement in an approved establishment, public or private, medical or for professional education training, or in a boarding school for juvenile delinquents ;
- entrustment to child welfare;
- placement in a boarding school suited to the juvenile delinquents of school age;
- under protection judicaire;
- measure of activity of day or repair.
