Definition

These are all the retail outlets of companies which are legally independent and linked to a network head by a leasing management agreement only. This is a contract under which the owner of business premises (the network head) rents them out to independent firms.

Note

If, for example, the leasing management agreement is associated with a franchise contract, retail outlets fall within the "retail outlets under franchise contract" category.
