Amending finance law

Definition

In the course of the budget year (year in which the budget is implemented), one or more amending finance laws may be voted. The effect of these laws is to modify the Initial Budget Law (LFI). Their purpose is to correct the initial forecasts or to reverse budgetary policy in the course of the year (to take into account economic trends, to translate the orientations of a new majority following an election, etc.).
