Definition

INSEE publishes monthly figures on the number of new cars registered to private owners (except commercial vehicle and temporary transit), thus allowing observation of the progress of the French automobile market. The raw figure given by the Committee for French Automobile Manufacturers is seasonally and calendar-effect adjusted.
