Definition

Camping and caravan sites are approved by a Prefecture-level ruling. They are rated from 1 to 4 stars, and "leisure" or "tourism", on condition that they have short-stay pitches. The rating conditions concern the shared facilities, sanitary facilities and disabled access.

Note

A short-stay pitch is a pitch intended for tourists who do not elect domicile there. A pitch rented out by the year is a pitch reserved for residential rental, meaning for a single client for the whole period during which the campsite is open.
