Definition

The survey on networks in services covers the service sectors in which this form of organisation is widespread, such as estate agencies, temping agencies, car hire firms, travel agencies, hotels, fast-food restaurants and hairdressing salons. The survey on networks in services aims to find out the number of units and the activity of independent enterprises organised into networks (integrated, franchise, grouping…) in order to estimate the weight of this type of organisation per major service sector.
The following items are collected from the 400 network head companies representing 450 different networks: brand name, number of retail outlets in France and aboard, turnover.
