Estate Survey

Definition

Carried out by INSEE every six years or so, the Estate survey (known as ‘financial assets’ in 1986 and 1992, then Estate during the following editions) is intended to produce an account of the property, financial and professional assets of households.
This survey allows us to observe the changes in the distribution of assets and the rates of possession of different assets. It is conducted on a sample of 21000 households in metropolitan France, Guadeloupe, Martinique and Reunion Island.
