Hotel Occupancy Survey
Definition
The Hotel Occupancy Survey allows the cyclical observation of occupancy in hotels and the study of custumers structure, in particular its geographical origin.It allows to establish indicators of occupation rate, of average duration of stay or part of the professional clientele. Realized every month since 1982, it covers a national sample of 8 300 approved establishments (1 to 5 stars in the new hotel classification) and not approved establishments of chain on metropolitan France and French overseas departments. The final sample is approximately 14 000 hotels to satisfy the needs of local information.
