Survey on vocational training and qualifications

Definition

The survey on vocational training and qualifications allows us to study the progress of returns achieved on diplomas, and the effectiveness of the education system. It helps us understand how the influence of ‘cultural’ and ‘socio-economic’ factors of social background has evolved in terms of impact on academic and professional success.
This survey deals with the themes of professional mobility, initial and continued training, social background and revenue from employment.

Conducted at irregular intervals by INSEE, this survey is carried out with a sample of people between the ages of 18 and 65, belonging to ‘ordinary’ (in the sense of household surveys) households.
