Tax revenue surveys

Definition

The tax revenues survey is a statistical operation conducted every year since 1996 by INSEE on households in metropolitan France. It consists of a combined analysis of the data from the Employment Survey and the data from official tax forms (declarations of revenue). It thus allows us to assess different forms of revenue: declared revenue (also known as tax revenue), disposable income, initial revenue, actual revenue etc.
It allows us to study the level of living standards of households, monetary poverty etc.

Beginning with the revenues declared for 2006, the tax revenues survey has been replaced by the Tax and Social Revenues Survey
