The purpose of the survey on entry into adult life is to question young people leaving the education system on their entry into adult life, and to consider their professional integration in the light of their educational background. The survey takes account of the reason for leaving education, the professional situation and the living conditions of respondents.
The entry into adult life survey is conducted on the basis of the 1995 Education Panel, which concerns students who entered the ‘6ème’ grade in 1995 in all public and private schools. The survey has been conducted every year since 2005 by INSEE, in collaboration with the Ministry for Research and the research, studies and statistics coordination directorate of the Ministry for Employment.
