Annual leasing survey

Definition

The annual leasing survey allows us to measure the distribution of leasing contracts by institutional sector and business sector, and by product. The results are used when drawing up the National Accounts, particularly for the gross fixed-capital formation (GFCF) section. The survey is conducted with all companies offering hire-purchase, leasing with purchase options, property leasing, and companies offering financing for energy (Sofergie), which makes around 200 firms. The survey has been conducted by INSEE every year since 1966.
