Definition

The collective consumption expenditure of general government covers the sovereign functions (or governing functions or general administrative functions) of government bodies: the justice system, defence, police etc.
It represents one of the two elements of the final consumption expenditure of general government (cf. Individual consumption expenditure of general government).
