Sandwich contracts

Definition

Sandwich contracts are employment contracts including training leading to a diploma or a qualification and intended for the most part for young people under the age of 26 undergoing integration into the professional world. Since the 4 May 2004 law, the professionalization contract has succeeded qualification, adaptation and orientation contracts. By extension, the term may encompass apprenticeship contracts that are also based on the system of alternating between theoretical courses and employment.
