Individual or collective building

Definition

Buildings are distinguished according to their individual (house) or collective character. A house corresponds to a building with one dwelling and having its own entrance.

There are two types of houses :

- pure individual (single-family house resulting from a construction operation and having only one residence) ;
- grouped individual (single-family house resulting from a construction operation and having several individual residences or a single individual residence with premises).

The term "collective" is defined by exclusion of the first two concepts. It refers to residences that are part of a building with two residences or more.
