Definition

The Observation and Statistics Department of the Ministry for Ecology, Energy, Sustainable Development and the Sea, responsible for housing, produces monthly updates on the progress of planning permission granted and the beginning of work on housing and other projects, allowing those interested to follow this progress.

These updates are compiled for ordinary dwellings (individual or collective), special residences (residential homes for the elderly, students, tourists etc.) as well as premises for business use (commerce, artisanal activity, industry etc.) in metropolitan France and the overseas departments (DOM).

Cancellations (voluntary or by decision of the administration) are also recorded.
