Tourist flows in Mayotte Island (survey with travelers from the airport of Dzaoudzi)
This survey gives an annual quantitative information on the tourists visiting the Mayotte Island in order to follow the development of a sector which play an important role in the local economy.
The goal is to measure the number of tourists who frequent Mayotte Island but also to know their main characteristics as the nationality, the age, the socio-professional group, their geographical origin and to quantify their expenses to measure the economic weight of tourism and to determine their level of satisfaction.
The survey is conducted annually since 1999 by INSEE in partnership with the Tourism Committee since its creation.
