17th Voorburg Group Meeting on Service Statistics

The 17th meeting of the Voorburg Group on Service Statistics was held in Nantes from Monday, 23rd September to Friday, 27th September. This year's host agency is the French national statistical institute INSEE.

The main topics was Producer prices in services, Information society statistics and Classifications of service activities and products.

The working language was English.

Nantes was elected as the annual meeting place of the Voorburg group since it is the most important regional branch of INSEE and the key spot for producing statistical information on services.
For instance, the annual business survey is carried out, for the most part of it, at the INSEE branch in Nantes as well as the group in charge of the producer price index in business services.
The session held on Wednesday 25th September in the morning was focused on the role of this regional branch in the framework of producing national statistics in services as well as its role within the region (Pays de la Loire).
